Running With the Wolves was written as an ode to our deeper primitive selves, from the perspective of an urban inhabitant longing for more nature and reconnection to its animal side. At a time of a fast pace worldwide destruction of the environnement the message also contains ecological values dear to our hearts.
During the making of the videoclip we tried to think local and zero waste as much as possible in order to reduce our carbon footprint. We also mostly travelled by train during the recording sessions. We worked with local artists and actors, shot on location (Brussel) to reduce carbon emissions and provide the team with home-made food.
lyrics
Been driving out to the edge of town
Away from noise, where silence’s all around
Searching for my holy ground
Been catching up with mother’s forest skylines
So close to death, left rags of reason behind
The moon shall be my only bride
Ooooh I’m running with the wolves
Ooooh I made my home where innocence is bliss
‘Cause fear or fiction, I’ve had those visions of a world set ablaze
Ooooh Ooooh
Been sleepwalking feeling invincible
I had no fear I didn’t feel the cold
Great outdoors is where I shed my skin
Been waking up to find myself again
stuck with the ghosts that hide inside the pain
Mother Earth, keep calling my name
Ooooh I’m running with the wolves
Ooooh I made my home where innocence is bliss
‘Cause fear or fiction, I’ve had those visions of a world set ablaze
Ooooh Ooooh
I don’t know what’s in there for me
But I can’t let go I can’t let go I can’t
Will you cure what itches deep inside of me
‘Cause I can’t let go I can’t let I can't
